The Wonderful World of Cigars. Sometimes, it can be a world of confusion. One company will call one cigar by one name and another something totally different for the same size and shape. We're going to try to help sort these things out for you and
hopefully make your cigar smoking and buying experience a wonderful one. In this section, we will cover the more common
sizes, shapes and defintions.

Construction:
All but the very thinnest cigars have filler tobacco at the center, binder leaf and wrapper. If the cigar is handmade using long filler tobacco, the leaves will run lengthwise. All three aspects will be tied together to complete the cigar. Machine made cigars use pieces or scraps of tobacco for the filler. These cigars will oftentimes use a "synthetic" wrapper which is stronger than the regular tobacco leaf and is available in different textures, flavors and strengths.

Wrapper:

Double Claro aka "American Market Selection" or "Candela" this wrapper is often green.
Claro grown mostly in Connecticut and is very light tan, almost beige. 
Colorado Claro aka "Natural" or "English Market Selection" medium brown in color
Colorado reddish tint
Colorado Maduro deeper red color found in Havana seed grown in Honduras
Maduro very dark or black. grown throughout the America's.

*Pyramid's are different from Torpedos by their continual flare making them slightly triangular in shape
** Ring sizes are based on 64's of an inch.
